Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival → Pinnawala → Dambulla / Sigiriya

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Dambulla Cave Temple
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport; meet your English-speaking driver.
Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – watch elephants bathing & feeding.
Proceed to Dambulla Cave Temple – explore ancient murals & Buddha statues.
Transfer to Sigiriya hotel.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Sigiriya/Dambulla.

DAY 2 – Sigiriya Rock Fortress → Kandy

Sigiriya Rock Climb, Lion’s Gate, Mirror Wall, Water Gardens
Early breakfast and climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress (~1.5–3hrs).
Explore:

Descend and proceed to Kandy (~2.5–3 hrs drive).

DAY 3 – Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Gem Museum & Lapidary Visit – Believed to be mined from
Gem studded Ravana’s palace, unearthed Ramayana heritage.
Buy precious gems and carry a part of Ramayana.
Bhakta Hanuman Temple, Ramboda Waterfalls viewpoint.
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Ramboda in hill country.
Visit Bhakta Hanuman Temple – believed to be where Hanuman first landed in Lanka.
View Ramboda Waterfalls (view point). Believed to be Ravana’s resting place and and natural barrier during epic battles.
Tea Factory visit and tea tasting
Continue to Nuwara Eliya (“Little England”).
Check-in at hotel.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 4 – Nuwara Eliya Ramayana Sites

Seetha Amman Temple, Ashok Vatika (botanical garden), Divurumpola (place where aita gave Agni pariksha)
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Seetha Amman Temple site where Sita Mata was held captive and rested waiting for Lord Rama.
Visit Divurumpola Temple – location of Sita Mata’s Agni Pariksha.
Free time at Gregory Lake, Victoria Park.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 5 – Nuwara Eliya → Ella → Kataragama

Ravana Falls, Ravana Caves (optional trek), Kataragama Temple
Breakfast and check out.
Drive to Ella, Ravana’s legendary land.
Visit Ravana Ella Falls – connected to Sita Mata’s abduction route.
(Subject to time- Optional)Explore Ravana Caves – part of Ravana’s hidden network.
Continue to Kataragama, holy town of Lord Skanda/Murugan.
Visit Kataragama Temple.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Kataragama/Tissamaharama.

DAY 6 – Kataragama → Colombo → Departure

Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, Colombo sightseeing
Breakfast and drive to Colombo.
Visit Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple – five-faced Hanuman.
Colombo City Tour:

45+ days before departure – Full refund minus ₹2,000
30–44 days – 50% cancellation charge
15–29 days – 75% cancellation charge
<15 days / No show – 100% charge

Refunds processed within 21 working days of written request
Name/date changes = cancellation + rebooking charges

3. Organizer Cancellation:

Full refund or credit issued if Yellow Umbrella cancels the trip
Force Majeure cases: Refund limited to recoverable cost only
