Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made with Yellow Umbrella Holidays (“we”, “our”, “us”) through our website https://yellowumbrellaholidays.com/, email, phone, or any other communication channel.

By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.


1. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment.

  • The balance payment must be made as per the timeline shared at the time of booking.

  • Failure to make payments on time may result in automatic cancellation without refund.


2. Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or official WhatsApp number. The cancellation date will be considered the date on which the request is received.

Standard Cancellation Charges (unless otherwise specified):

3. Non-Refundable Components

The following amounts are strictly non-refundable:

  • Visa fees (once applied)

  • Flight tickets (if non-refundable as per airline rules)

  • Hotel bookings marked as non-refundable

  • Service charges and convenience fees

  • Peak season or promotional offers


4. Refund Process

  • Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days after cancellation approval.

  • Refunds will be made via the original payment method only.

  • Any bank or gateway charges will be deducted from the refund amount.


5. Cancellation or Changes by Yellow Umbrella Holidays

We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour due to:

  • Minimum group size not being met

  • Natural disasters, pandemics, or force majeure events

  • Government regulations or travel restrictions

  • Operational or safety reasons

In such cases:

  • Customers may receive a full or partial refund, or

  • The amount may be adjusted against a future booking, depending on supplier policies

No additional compensation shall be provided.


6. No-Show / Early Departure

  • No refund will be provided for no-shows, late arrivals, or early departures.

  • Unused services (hotels, meals, sightseeing, transfers) are non-refundable.


7. Amendments & Rescheduling

  • Changes to travel dates, names, or services are subject to availability and additional charges.

  • Rescheduling requests may be treated as a cancellation and new booking.

  • Fare differences and supplier penalties must be borne by the customer.


8. Visa Rejection

  • Visa approval is solely at the discretion of the respective embassy or consulate.

  • In case of visa rejection:

    • Visa fees and service charges are non-refundable

    • Other refundable components (if any) will be processed after deducting applicable charges


9. Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

  • Refunds due to medical issues, emergencies, or trip interruptions are subject to insurance provider terms.

  • We are not responsible for claims denied by insurers.


10. Force Majeure

No refunds or compensation will be provided for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural calamities

  • Pandemics or epidemics

  • Political unrest

  • Airline or transport strikes

  • Government travel bans


11. Disputes & Jurisdiction

This policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in [Your City / State, India].
